The Devil Is In The Details

Summary

For the first time in over ten years, the Federal Reserve has adjusted course and started raising the Federal Funds (Fed Funds) rate in a unanimous vote. The Fed Funds rate (the interest rate at which banks can borrow from the Federal Reserve overnight) will now be allowed to fluctuate in a range of 0.25% to 0.50% from the current 0-0.25%. The interest rate action was widely expected, but “the devil is in the details” as the idiom goes.
